St. Andrew's Day Novena

Today being the feast of St.  Andrew the Apostle, it is also the first day of the Christmas novena.  This is a beautiful and very powerful prayer, which takes a lot of perseverance!  It is to be said fifteen times a day (you can break it up into 5 times at each meal, or other creative ways of trying to remember how many you've said).  It's a good way to remind yourself each day that it's Advent, and to prepare for the coming of the Christ Child.  Have a blessed Advent!  Veni, Emmanuel!

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment at which the son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, o my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the merits of our Savior Jesus Christ, and of His Blessed Mother.  Amen.
