Orvieto

Here are some of the best pictures from our trip to Orvieto.  I probably could have spent another two days and 50-some euro here, but even our brief visit was lovely.  Good weather counts for a lot, but the city itself is both unique and beautiful, as hopefully you'll see from the pictures here.  There are more at Operation Eternity.

My camera battery died halfway through, so most of these pictures are thanks to Sarah.

Orvieto is very strongly situated, as it's on the top of a steep hill. You have to take a funicular just to get into the city. Whatever is not protected by a cliff face has cool medieval walls.

More of Orvieto. Really do wish I could have stayed longer!

  1. I love the chickens! The city of Orvieto is pretty too. You have done a good job photographing and describing your travels. You are so blessed to have made this trip.

And, yes, your dad and I miss you.
